Organised Art Shelves!
My friends & family know all too well that I have a weakness for organising things. Perhaps I spent too much time reading Country Living & browsing Pinterest, but I constantly want to update the space I live in & make it a beautiful & inspiring place to be! Moreover, I really can’t start an art project if the place is a mess. I make the mess when I start the artwork instead! Or maybe that’s another form of procrastination… in any case, since we have moved house & I have been abroad ever since, it was nice to spend a day sorting out my art shelves!!

The top shelf now holds my collection of recipe books (most but not all… but I ran out of space!) and my sketchbooks too.

Here are a few of my favourite magazines – BBC Good Food and Country Living… which is so full of great images for scrapbooking! You can see a couple of my Magritte cake-toppers popping up to decorate the space too! And that little red thing is a shoe-shaped tape dispenser. If that’s not cool, I don’t know what is, frankly.

Even the inside of the boxes are organised. To some degree anyway. I know, I’m so Monica-like sometimes. I have a box of random photos I haven’t used for anything, and above that is my precious box of letters, literally full to the top of letters I have been written by friends… since primary school!
Here are some of the things that inspired me from Pinterest… I can’t wait to make some more improvements when I move home for the summer! Next step… finding an old desk to work on… antiques shopping scheduled!
