Clipboard decoration

Something I’ve been meaning to do for absolutely ages is to try out this clip-board decoration idea. Basically, you hang some clipboards onto your wall, and then just peg up torn out pages from magazines, recipes, tickets, cards from friends and it’s a really easy way to decorate the place which looks fairly tidy and is also quick! Of course, as soon as you look for wooden clipboards you can’t find them anywhere, so I’m thinking of making a few more with scrap wood & bulldog clips.

Quick inspiration is good for me right now, not finding much time at university to justify spending precious moments during my last proper term at uni EVER (:-O) on things other than uni work. However, this morning it took me no more than 5 minutes to grab a few pages, cards and pegs and create this for my wall!

By the way, that recipe is for Coconut and Chocolate Banoffee Pie – it looks amazing! I keep forgetting & not being organised enough to cook interesting things, so I find techniques to remind me of good ideas when I find them… including sticking them to the wall, post-it noting pages in recipe books or BBC Good Food magazines and favouriting recipes on my Good Food iPhone app! Plus, with tickets up on the wall for events I’ve attended I sort of hope to remind myself of fun things when times are stressful. Somehow, despite all the work, I’ve managed to convince myself that a trip into town to buy more clipboards etc. is justified this week…
