Free stuff. I β₯ free stuff. And you know what they say – one man’s marrow is another man’s masterpiece. #FTW (forage the win!) says Charlie! During Henry & my day of filming foraging we happened across this crate of free veg and so took one for our dinner.

It’s funny, people always say I’m lucky to live where I do – and that’s true. But free veg boxes, walnut trees, cherry trees, elderflower bushes (and other things I’ve come across recently) don’t throw themselves in your face… it’s more a case of once you start looking, then you start finding.Β Which I suppose is important in many aspects of life, isn’t it?
So what to do with marrows? I had very little idea, but my general fail-safe way to cook vegetables is to stuff them. And foraging around in the reduced section of the supermarket, I also found these… (large portions of feta cheese & tomato dressing for 30p each!).
Marrows topped with feta cheese, chopped tomatoes & peppers, and breadcrumbs… definitely a winner of a side-dish, and cost next to nothing to make.
