Recycled Present Wrapping
[we wrapped all our presents in pages torn from magazines! I chose Country Living of course, which made for very pretty presents.]

I wish you all a lovely Christmas period, with loved ones and doing the things which make you happy. We have had so many laughs here at home, and it has been especially nice to abandon the internet, facebook and phones for the best part of a week and curl up in front of the fire. Some of my favourite things this Christmas have been snuggling up to watch films & eat lots of naughty food with Seb, cuddling my doglet Truffle, drinking tea & mulled wine with the family, doing jigsaws & charades and other silly family games, cooking & baking together, having mad conversations about our preferred potential versions of ‘A Christmas Carol’ (one of my favourite stories) – my favourites would be Alfred Molina or Jack Dee to play Scrooge, but my dad & brother started to act a convincing Marx Brothers version! I have also had several pieces of sadder news about friends whose Christmases haven’t been so good, and have been thinking a lot about how important it is to care about those close to you.
