An exam-less June, I’m still basking in the thought, as well as in the occasional burst of sunshine. One of my goals for the summer is to do some journaling again – I did a few pages during the course of uni final year, but it would be nice to get back to doing it regularly! I find that there are always certain things I want to do more of, and that I never get around to doing – and journaling/scrapbooking is one of them. I’m not sure what it is about it, but I think the best way to get around to these things is just to set realistic goals!…

I really think most people’s projects that start energetically and then stop soon afterwards are due to an over-ambitious aim – for example journaling every day, going to the gym 4 times per week, cooking a new meal every day. These goals are fine if something is your passion and priority. But if you always start and then give up, start small. One journal page per month. That’s going to be my minimum. And a simple collage with a bit of writing will do fine – no need to pressure myself to rival the amazing art-journalers out there! And however simple, I usually love the results :).
