Wouldn’t this make a cute café? Imagine the windows open, a sweet outdoor seating area behind that blue gate, the sound of seagulls, the view of the sea. Perhaps a little closer to the centre of a town would suit me better of course, the location being paramount to this type of business. But I can see outdoor tables, with people taking part in summer workshops – art, tea, music, cakes, laughter.

(Maybe this one could be my house! It’s so cute and tucked away!)

It has taken me a while to start sharing my real dreams. Don’t we all do that thing where we think, hmm now isn’t quite right, it’s too important, I’ll start that project another day. This tendency is one of my biggest yet small and sneaky foibles. The one that means I don’t write back to friends, because I’m putting it off searching for the perfect words to say. Or postponing an important piece of work like an essay, until I’m in the right frame of mind. Or putting off drawing because I’m not sure how to start.

I have realised that it’s best just to start, without judgement. It’s one of my goals for 2012, and I’m already working on it. So expect to see little snippets about my future café and plans from now!

It’s not where you take things from… it’s where you take them to.” – Jean-Luc Godard

(This one would definitely be my car. That’s for sure.)
